Answer:

Given:-

A refrigerator costs 20,000. Its price depreciates at the rate of 5% per annum. What will be the price of refrigerator after 2 years?

To Find:-

The price ( amount ) of refrigerator after 2 years.

Note:-

Depreciates means decrease in a amount.

Second year amount will be calculated from first year amount.

Solution:-

Depreciates = 5% per annum, the cost = 20,000; Time = 2 years

According to note first point~

▪︎ \frac{5}{100} × ₹ 20,000

▪︎ 5 × ₹ 200

▪︎ ₹ 1,000

For real price~

▪︎ ₹ 20,000 - ₹ 1,000

▪︎ ₹ 19,000

Now, real price = ₹19,000; we'll find the cost after first years

Interest~

▪︎ \frac{5}{100} × ₹ 19,000

▪︎ 5 × ₹ 190

▪︎ ₹ 850

For price~

▪︎ ₹ 19,000 - ₹ 850

▪︎ ₹ 18,150

First year = ₹ 18,150, Second year~

●》According to note second point and interest~

▪︎ \frac{5}{100} × ₹ 18,150

▪︎ 5 × ₹ 181.5

▪︎ ₹ 907.5

For price~

▪︎ ₹ 19,000 - ₹ 907.5

After doing calculations~

▪︎ ₹ 18,092.5

Answer:-

Hence, the price of refrigerator after 2 years will be = 18,092.5
