A refrigerator is to maintain eatables kept inside at 90C. If room temperature is 360C, calculate the coefficient of performance.​

Solution :-

Given:

Room temperature, T2 = 35°C = 35 + 273 = 308 K

Temperature inside the refrigerator, T1 = 8°C = 281 K

Since, the Coefficient of performance =

 \tt \:  \frac{T_1}{T_2  - T_1 }  =  \frac{281}{308 - 281}  =  \frac{ \cancel{281}}{ \cancel{27}}  = \red{10.41}

Therefore, the coefficient of performance of refrigerator is 10.41.
