Answer:

Area between circle and hexagon is 106.53cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a regular hexagon is inscribed in a circle of radius 14cm. we have to find the area of region between circle and hexagon.

Area of circle=\pi r^{2}=\pi \times 14^{2}=196\pi cm^2=615.75cm^2

Measure of the central angle of a regular hexagon is 60° i.e  A regular hexagon is made up of 6 equilateral triangle.

ar(hexagon)=ar(6 equilateral triangle)

                   =6\times \frac{\sqrt3}{4}a^2

                   =6\times \frac{\sqrt3}{4}14^2=509.22cm^2

Area between circle and hexagon is

     = ar(circle)-ar(hexagon)=615.75-509.22=106.53cm^2
