Midnight Fire Destroys Market

Ghaziabad, 25 May There was a major fire that broke out at a market in Ghaziabad late Monday night. The fire trapped at least 30 people who were later rescued. Flames engulfed as many as 50 shops and goods worth several lakhs were gutted in the fire. Panic stricken people were running and everything was in chaos.

Locals said that the flames erupted around 12:15 pm. The people rushed to the market, but failed to do anything. The fire spread in no time.

The fire was controlled after hours of continuous effort by the Fire Department. A list of those affected is prepared and handed it over to district administration as per the DM's orders.
