Q]____?

If the capacitor of capacitance C is connected with an AC single, then reactance of that circuit is purely capacutive

The capacitive reactance is

X = 1 /ωC = 1/2 πfC _[ω = 2πf ]

X ∝ 1/fC

Considering two different situations of frequency and capacitance, we have

=> X'/ X = fC / f' C' = ( f × C ) / ( 2f × 2C )

...[ f' = 2f and C' = 2C ]

=> X' / X = 1/4

=> X' = X / 4

The new reactance will be X/4 !
