Question

a restaurant adds 10% service charge and 12% VAT on the basic price of meals. if the basic price of a meal is rs 1900,how much do I pay for the meal

Basic price = 1900

VAT = 1900*12%
         =228

Service tax = 1900*10%
                     =190

invoice price = basic price + service charge + VAT
                      =1900+228+190

                         =2318


 U need to  pay for the meal =2318
