Solutions :-

Given :
Cost of Fan = Rs 1200
Overhead expense = Rs 40
Total cost price of fan = Rs (1200 + 40) = Rs 1240
Selling price of fan = Rs 1550

Selling price is greater than the Cost price. Therefore, Profit.

Profit = S.P - C.P
= Rs (1550 - 1240)
= Rs 310

Profit percent = (profit × 100)/C.P %
= (310 × 100)/1240 %
= 31000/1240 %
= 25 %

Hence,
Profit percent = 25%

\underline{\underline{\Huge\mathfrak{Answer ;}}}

Dear ,

Given ;
• The Cost of Fan = ₹1200
• And it's Overhead Expense = ₹40

So , Total cost of fan = ₹{ 1200 + 40 } = ₹1240

• Selling Price ( SP ) of fan = ₹1550

Here , SP > CP i.e. => Profit !

So ,
• Profit = SP - CP
=> ₹{ 1550 - 1240 } = ₹310.

Now , Gain % ;-

• { Gain x 100 } / CP %
=> { 310 x 100 } / 1240 %
=> 25%

Hence , Gain = 25%.
