A retailer buys shirts from a manufacturer at the rate of Rs. 200 per shirt and marked them at

Rs. 300 each. He allows some discount and earns a profit of 35% on the cost price. Find the

percentage of discount.

c.p.=200
m.p.=300
300×(100-x)/100=200×135/100
x=>10
discount =10%

Hey!
Here the cost price of shirt is rupees 200
And if he makes 35% profit, then selling price is= 200+35% of 200
= 200+70
=270 Rupees...
And the marked price is rupees 300.

So discount = (300-270)/300*100
=10% discount!
