Given - Length of the ribbon

Find - Whether ribbon can be cut in 50 cm pieces without leaving pieces.

Solution - On cutting the ribbon into 50 centimetres pieces, 6 equal pieces will be cut and nothing will be leftover. The reason for the answer is that 300 is a multiple of 50.

Length of ribbon in centimetres will be - 3*100

length of ribbon = 300 centimetres.

Now, to find if the ribbon can be cut into 50 centimetres pieces without being left or not, we will perform division. On division, the quotient will state the number of 50 centimetres pieces that we will get and the remainder will state the left pieces.

Number of pieces = 300/50

Number of pieces = 6.

On cutting the ribbon into 50 centimetres pieces, 6 equal pieces will be cut and nothing will be leftover. The reason for the answer is that 300 is a multiple of 50.
