The area of the shaded portion = 54.5
Step-by-step explanation:
Given data
AC = 8 cm
BC = 6 cm
AB = 10 cm
Area of the Δ ABC =
⇒ A = 0.5 × 8 × 6
⇒ A = 24 ------- (1)
Area of the circle =
r = radius of the circle = OB = 5 cm
⇒ 3.14 × 25
⇒ 78.5
-------- (2)
Now the area of shaded portion = Area of circle - Area of the triangle
= 78.5 - 24
= 54.5
Thus the area of the shaded portion = 54.5
