A rigid steel container is partially filled with a liquid at 15 atm. The volume of the liquid is 1.23200l. At a pressure of 30 atm, the volume of the liquid is 1.23100l. Find the average bulk modulus of elasticity of the liquid over the given range of pressure if the temperature after compression is allowed to return to its initial value. What is the coefficient of compressibility?

The Bulk Modulus of liquid is 1.849 GPa

And the Coefficient of compressibility is 0.54*10^(-9) (m^2)/N

Mathematically it's given as

K=\frac{ΔP}{(ΔV/V)}

The volume of liquid changes ΔV=1.23200-1.23100=0.001l

Plugging the values in the above equation

K=\frac{(30-15)*10^5}{(0.001l/1.232l)}

K=1.849*10^9 N/m^2=1.849 GPa

Now the coefficient of compressibiltiy is reciprocal of Bulk modulus, therefore

coefficient of compressibiltiy=1/K

coefficient of compressibiltiy=0.54*10^(-9) (m^2)/N
