Step-by-step explanation:

Depth=3 m

Width=40 m

Height( in a hr.)=2 km = 2000m

Height in a minute = 2000/60 m ( in 60 mins 2000m so, in 1 min the height will be 2000/60m)

Volume=3 × 40× 2000/60 cubic.metre

=4000 cubic.metre

= 4000 × 1000 Its.=40, 00, 000 lts.

therefore 4000000 lts of water will fall into sea in a minute.

h=3m

b=40m

l=2km=2000m(only in an hour)

The volume filled

in sea in an hour = 2000×3×40

=240000 m^3

An hour has 60 minutes

=240000÷60

=4000m^3

Hence 4000m cube of water will fall in the sea at rate of 2km/h
