then water will flow in 1 minute= 2000/60
= 100/3
and river deep = 3m and wide = 40m
now, the volume of water will flow in a minute = l×b×h
= 100/3 × 3 × 40
= 4000m^3
= 4000000 litre (because 1000 litre = 1m^3)
