A road roller takes 750 complete revolution to move once over to level a road. Find the are of road, if the diameter of the road roller is 84 cm and length is 1m.

Diameter = 84cm
r = 84/2 = 42cm
height = 1 meter= 100cm

In one revolution, the roller will cover an area equal to its lateral surface area.

Thus, in 1 revolution, area of the road covered = 2πrh

=2×22/7×42×100cm
26400 cm square

In 750 revolutions, area of the road covered

=750×26400

= 19800000 cm square
