A rocket is moving up with a velocity v. If the velocity of this rocket is suddenly tripled, what will be the new kinetic energies?​

Let, m be the mass of rocket.

Initial kinetic energy is, KEi = ½ mv2

Final kinetic energy is, KEf = ½ m(3v)2 = 9 KEi

Therefore, KEi : KEf = 1 : 9

jatinbhatia: we have to find its new kinetic energy. Is it their ratios?
