Hello friend
Here is your answer............
Given :
Mass(m) = 100 tonnes
=( 100 x 1000)kg
Velocity (v) = 1 km./s
= 1000m/s
We have to find:
Kinetic energy (K.E) = ????
We know that the formula,
Kinetic energy = 1/2mv^2
K.E = 1/2 x 100 x 1000 x (1000 x 1000)
K.E = 50 x 10^9 J
K.E = 5 x 10^10 J.
Therefore, the kinetic energy of the rocket is 5 x 10^10 J..
Thanks........ :)
