\mathbb{\bold{\underline{ANSWER}}}

\fbox{\textsf{\bold{14sq.m}}}

\mathbb{\bold{\underline{EXPLANATION:}}}

\textsf{Dimensions of floor: \textbf{\bold{6m x 5m}}}

\textsf{Side of square carpet: \textbf{4m}}

\colon \to \textbf{To find the area of the floor:}

\textsf{Since the floor is a rectangle, so,}

   \bullet \: \textbf{\bold{Area of rectangle = l \textsf{x} b}}

\star \:\texttt{Length of floor = 6m }

\star \: \texttt{Breadth of floor = 5m}

\to \textbf{Area = 6 \textsf{x} 5}

\therefore \mathbf{\large{\underline{Area \:of \:floor = 30m^{2}}}}

\colon \to \textbf{To find the area of the carpet:}

\textsf{Since the carpet is a square, so,}

  \bullet \: \textbf{\bold{Area of square = s \textsf{x} s }}

\star \:\texttt{Side of carpet = 4m }

\to \textbf{Area = 4 \textsf{x} 4}

\therefore \mathbf{\large{\underline{Area \:of \:carpet = 16m^{2}}}}

\colon \to \textbf{To find the area of floor which is not carpeted:}

  \bullet \: \textbf{\bold{Area of floor not carpeted = Area of floor - Area of carpet}}

\star \:\texttt{Area of floor = 30sq.m}

\star \:\texttt{Area of carpet = 16sq.m }

\to \textbf{Area of floor not carpeted = 30 - 16 = 14}

\therefore \mathbf{\large{\underline{Area \:of \:floor \:not \:carpeted = 14m^{2}}}}
