Lenght of the room= 12m
Breadth of the room= 10m

Area of the room = length × breadth
= 12m × 10m
= 120m²

Lenght of the brick= 20cm
Breadth of the brick= 6cm

Area of the brick= length × breadth
= 20cm × 6cm
= \frac{20}{100}m × \frac{6}{100}m
= 0.2m × 0.06m
= 0.012m²

Number of bricks= \frac{Area \:of\ the \:room}{Area \:of\: a\: brick}
= 120m²/0.012m²
= 10000

Cost of 1000 bricks= Rs 220
therefore,
Cost of 10000 bricks = 10 × 220
= Rs 2200

Answer:

Lenght of the room= 12m

Breadth of the room= 10m

Area of the room = length × breadth

= 12m × 10m

= 120m²

Lenght of the brick= 20cm

Breadth of the brick= 6cm

Area of the brick= length × breadth

= 20cm × 6cm

= \frac{20}{100}m

100

m × \frac{6}{100}m

m

= 0.2m × 0.06m

= 0.012m²

Number of bricks= \frac{Area \:of\ the \:room}{Area \:of\: a\: brick}

Areaofabrick

Areaof theroom

= 120m²/0.012m²

= 10000

Cost of 1000 bricks= Rs 220

therefore,

Cost of 10000 bricks = 10 × 220

= Rs 2200
