area of floor = area of carpet
area of floor= l x b
length=12m
breadth=10m
area=12 x 10
           120 m^2
area of carpet = 120
area of carpet is also = l x b
where breadth = 2m
120=l x 2
l=120/2
 =60m
hence the carpet is 60 m long

Given -

Length of room = 12m

Breadth of room = 10m

Area of floor of room = Area of carpet

area \: of \: floor = length \times breadth

 = 12 \times 10

 = 120\:{m}^{2}

area \: of \: carpet = length \times breadth

120 = l \times 2

l = 120 \div 2

l = 60 \: m
