Answer:

i) Cost to cover the floor with tiles = 10713.6

ii) Cost to plaster the ceiling = 3013.2

iii) Cost to paint the walls = 10651.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the room is 15.5 meters long, 10.8 meters wide and, 4.5 meters high.

So we have

length = 15.5 \ m\\\\width = 10.8 \ m\\\\height = 4.5\ m

i) We need to find the area of the base of the room. We calculate it as follows.

Base \ Area= length\times width = 15.5 \times 10.8 =167.4\ m^2

The rate of flooring with tiles  = 64 per m^2

Hence

Total cost for flooring =167.4\times 64 =10713.6 rupees

ii) The base area is the same as the top area.

Also, the ceiling can be plaster at 18 per m^2 .

So

cost of plaster the ceiling = 167.4\times 18=3013.2 rupees

iii) The area of the surface that needs to paint is the same as the lateral surface area. So

Lateral \ Surface \ Area = 2\times height(length+width ) \\\\ =2\times 4.5 \times(15.5+10.8)=2\times 4.5\times26.3=236.7 \ m^2

The cost of painting the wall is 45 per  m^2. Thus

Total cost of painting the walls = 236.7\times 45=10651.5 rupees
