A room is 20 m long and 15 m broad . It has to be carpeted after leaving a margin of 2 m all around it. Find the area of the carpet required and the cost of carpeting it at Rs.200 per m sq.​

Answer:

length=20m

breath=15m

area= l×b 20 × 15 =300msquare

inner length= 20- 4 = 16

inner breadth= 15- 4= 11

area= lx b = 11x16 = 176m square

area of carpet= area of room - area of inner

300- 176= 124m square

per m sq.= Rs . 200

124m sq.= Rs . 200 x 124 = 24800m sq.
