Area of room =25.92m^2

area of the space without carpet, as it is square i.e, 40 all the sides.

so ar(sq.) =side^2....40×40

=1600cm^2 i.e, 16m^2

so, area of carpet =ar(room)-ar(space wthout carpet)

i.e, 25.92m^2-16m^2

=9.92m^2
