A room is 8.5 m long, 7m broad and 4 m high. It has one door measuring 1 m by 1 m and two windows each measuring .5 m by.5 m. Find the cost of painting its four walls without door and windows, if the rate of painting is rupees 2 per square metre.​

Area of wall painted=Cost of painting the wallCost of painting 1 sq.m of the wall

=82512.5=66sq.m

Thus, 24h−6=66

⇒ 24h=72

⇒ h=7224=3m

Thus the height of the room is 3m.
