Answer:

35000 marble slabs

Step-by-step explanation:

[ 1m = 100cm ]

Length of room = 28m = 28 × 100 = 2800cm

Breadth of room = 24m = 24 × 100 = 2400cm

Area of room = Length × Breadth

                      = 2800cm × 2400cm

                      = 6720000cm²

Length of marble slab = 16cm

Breadth of marble slab = 12cm

Area of marble slab = Length × Breadth

                                 = 16cm × 12cm

                                 = 192cm²

Number of marble slabs needed to cover the room = Area of the room /

                                                                                         Area of marble slab

                                                                                      = 6720000cm² / 192cm²

                                                                                      = 35000

Therefore, the number of marble slabs needed to cover the room is 35000.

Given :-

  • Length of the room = 28m.
  • breadth of the room = 24m.
  • length of the marble slab = 16 cm.
  • breath of the marble slab = 12 cm.

To find :-

  • No. of marble slabs needed to cover the room.

Solution :-

Area of the room = 28 m × 24 m

=> 672 m²

Area of the marble slab = 16 cm × 12 cm

=> 192 cm² to m²

  \sf \: =>  \frac{192}{100 \times 100}  \\

=> 0.0192 m²

 \sf \therefore \: No. \:  of \:  marble \:  slab  =  \dfrac{Area \:  of  \: the  \: room }{Area \: of \: the \: marble \: slab}  \\  \\  \sf \:  =  \:  \frac{672}{0.0192}  \\  \\  \sf \:  =  \:  \dfrac{ \cancel{672}  \:  \: ^{7}  \times  \cancel{10000}  \:  \: ^{5000} }{ \cancel{192} } \\  \\   \red{\sf \:  =  \: 35000 \: marble \: slab \:  \:  \: ...(ans)}
