In order to find the total expenditure, we've to find the number of tiles that are required to cover the wall and then multiplying it by cost of each tile.

Parameter of the rectangle = 2* (l + b)

where l stands for length and b for breadth of the rectangular hall.

Numerically the parameter will be 74.5 feet if we calculate this by above formula.

Now no, of tiles needed = 74.5/0.5 = 149

Cost of 149 tiles = 149 * 62 = 9238 rupees
