Given : x³ - x - 11  = 0

To Find : a  root  by bisection method

Solution:

x³ - x - 11  = 0

f(0)  = - 11

f(1)  =  - 11

f(2) = -5

f(3)  = 13

one root lies between 2 & 3

(2 +3 )/2 = 2.5

f(2.5) = 2.125

0 lies  between  -5 & 2.125

Hence (2 + 2.5)/2 = 2.25

f(2.25)  =  -1.859375

(2.25 + 2.5)/2  = 2.375

f(2.375) = 0.021484375

f(2.3125) = -0.946044922

f(2.34375)= -0.469146729

f (2.359375) = -0.225559235
