 \bf \large \it \: Hey \: User!!!

given the length of the rope = 10m and 20cm

we know that 1m = 100cm
therefore 10m = 100 × 10 = 1000cm

total length of the rope = 1000 + 20
= 1020cm

according to the question, the rope is divided in three pieces whose length are in ratio 4 : 6 : 7

let the pieces be 4x, 6x and 7x respectively.

therefore 4x + 6x + 7x = 1020cm
>> 17x = 1020cm
>> x = 1020/17
>> x = 60cm

hence, the length of each piece is :-

>> 4x = 4 × 60 = 240cm
>> 6x = 6 × 60 = 360cm
>> 7x = 7 × 60 = 420cm

Step-by-step explanation:

given the length of the rope = 10m and 20cm

we know that 1m = 100cm

therefore 10m = 100 × 10 = 1000cm

total length of the rope = 1000 + 20

= 1020cm

according to the question, the rope is divided in three pieces whose length are in ratio 4 : 6 : 7

let the pieces be 4x, 6x and 7x respectively.

therefore 4x + 6x + 7x = 1020cm

>> 17x = 1020cm

>> x = 1020/17

>> x = 60cm

hence, the length of each piece is :-

>> 4x = 4 × 60 = 240cm

>> 6x = 6 × 60 = 360cm

>> 7x = 7 × 60 = 420cm
