A rubber band changes it shape on stretching

rubber Is made up of 2 methyl 1,3-butadiene

since rubber is a polymer .it don't have sharp melting point .their state can be changed by varying temperature. it is in the transition state.due to this property though rubber band is solid.it changes it's shape on stretching
