Let us assume that, total sales is Rs. x.

Given that,

→ 6% commission on sale up to Rs. 15000.

So,

→ 6% of sale 15000 = (15000 * 6) / 100 = Rs.900

Now,

→ Left sale = (x - 15000)

→ commission on sale more than 15000 = 5% of (x - 15000) = 5 * (x - 15000)/100 = (1/20)(x - 15000)

So,

→ Total commission on sales = 900 + {(1/20)(x-15000)}

Than,

→ Remit = x - [900 + {(1/20)(x - 15000)}]

Now, we have given that, total remit is Rs. 47350.

Therefore,

→ x - [900 + {(1/20)(x-15000)}] = 47350

→ x - 47350 = 900 + {(1/20)(x-15000)}

→ x - {(1/20)(x-15000)} = 900 + 47350

→ (20x - x + 15000)/20 = 48250

→ 19x + 15000 = 48250 * 20

→ 19x = 965000 - 15000

→ 19x = 95,0000

dividing both sides by 19,

→ x = Rs.50,000 (Ans.)

Hence Total sales is Rs. 50,000.
