A sample of water was heated from 300C to 450C. i) What were the initial and final temperatures of water in Kelvin scale? ii) How much was the rise in temperature on Kelvin scale?

T(K) = T(°C) + 273

Thus,

Initial temperature = 300 + 273 = 573 K

Final temperature = 450 + 273 = 723 K

Rise in temperature = 150 K
