The satellite is revolving around the earth at a constant speed and the gravitational pull from the earth is providing the centripetal force to the satellite which helps the satellite to move in the circle. This force has no effect on the speed's magnitude. Hence, if the earth disappears then the satellite will still move with the same speed "v" but this time it will move in a straight line.

Hence, the option (b) is correct.
