A satellite orbiting the earth earth in very thin atmosphere loses its energy gradually due to dissipation against atmospheric resistance,however small.Soits speed should be decreased ,but actually its speed increases progressively as it comes closer and closer to the earth.why?

As the satellite come closer the gravitation force between them increase which leds to increases in centripetal force i.e., velocity
