Dear Diary:

Today I had one of the strangest experiences of my life! I met an alien from another planet and era accidentally! I can’t explain how it happened, but I did meet him or her. I don’t know what his gender was! I am amazed at the powers of that creature! He had the ability to read my thoughts and make me understand his thoughts too! He asked me what was the black murky water flowing in the city river? I felt quite ashamed while explaining to him that it was the polluted water made so by the effluents from the sewage and industry! I explained him that not many years ago crystal clear water flowed in that river! He was shocked to hear it!

Looking at the black smoke spewing from chimneys, he asked me what that was. I again explained to him it was untreated exhaust of toxic gases produced while manufacturing or producing goods in the factories! He was again shocked. I told him all this was caused by poor waste management and man’s reckless use of natural resources. Before he rocketed away he warned me, ‘If you continue living like this, you don’t have many years left to live. End of your world is approaching. Wake up!’ Dear diary, what should I do now?

One of the most dangerous threats to life on earth is the increase in pollution. Since the last century, the immense increase in pollution in nature has been the cause of many harmful effects. Increase in Global warming, reduction in the quality of air and water and an increase in life-threatening diseases are some of the main effects of pollution. Hence, it is the need of the hour to look into the issue and find alternatives to them. There has been an immediate concern over the growing pollution in the environment. It is because of this reason that the sources from where the pollution gets generated needs to be taken into consideration. Crackers are one of the important sources of pollution. Hence, there need to put a full stop on burning crackers. Crackers produce a lot of pollution which is harmful to the environment, humans, animals and all the lives of the world. Being a responsible citizen of the world we need to stop burning crackers and the save the planet earth.
