Solution:

It is given that a school bus covered a distance of 6 km in 10 hours.

  • Total Distance covered by school bus = 6 km or 6000 m
  • Total time taken by School Bus = 10 hr or 36000 Seconds

Find Speed of bus in m/s :

Speed = Distance/Time

Speed = 6000/36000 m/s

Speed = 0.16 m/s

Find Speed of bus in km/hr :

Speed = Distance/Time

Speed = 6/10

Speed = 3/5

Speed = 0.6 km/hr

Therefore, Required Speed of School bus in m/s and km/hr are 0.16 m/s and 0.6 km/hr respectively.

Time taken to cover this distance = 10 hours

We know that,

Speed = Distance/Time

Speed =  \frac{6 \: km}{10 \: hour}  \\

Speed = 0.6 km/hour

Now, we have to change it in m/s

Speed \:  =  \: 0.6 \times  \frac{1000}{3600} \:   \\  \\ Speed =  \frac{6 \: m}{36 \: sec}   \\  \\ Speed \:  =  \frac{1 \: m}{6 \: sec}  \\

Speed = 0.16 m/s

Therefore, speed of bus is 0.6 km/h or 0.16 m/s.
