Answer:

Sum of ratios last year=44

No. of boys last year=21/44*264=

126

No. of girls = 23*44/264= 138

No of boys this year=126-4=122

No of girls this year =138+2=140

Ratio=122:140

=61:70

Answer:

21x + 23x = 264 \\ 44x = 264 \\ x = 6 \\ no \: of \: boys \:  = 126 \\ no \: of \: girls \:  = 138 \\ no \: of \: boys \: when \: new \: students \: left = 122 \\ no \: of \: girls = 140 \\  \\ hence \: ratio = 122 \div 140 = 61 \div 70

hence ratio =61/70
