Answer:

Hope it helps you....

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

the number of girls and boys in the class be 25x and 23x, respectively.

A . T . Q :-

240 = 25x + 23x

240 = 48x

240/48 = x

5 = x

So,

the number of girls in the class = 25x = 25*5 = 125

and,

the number of boys in the class = 23x = 23*5 = 115

When 15 girls are absent,

Number of present girls = 125-15 = 110

When 15 boys are absent,

Number of present boys = 115-15 = 100

So,

the number of present girls : the number of present boys = 110:100 = 11:10.

Hence,

the ratio is 11:10

Total no of students in school = 240

Let the no of girls = 25x

Let the no of boys = 23x

25x + 23x = 240 { ∵ total number of students = no of boys + no of girls }

=> x = 5

∴ The no of boys = 23x = 23(5) = 115

The no of girls = 25x = 25(5) = 125

The no of girls present when 15 girls are absent = 125 - 15 = 110

The no of boys present when 15 boys are absent = 115 - 15 = 100

∴ Ratio = 110 : 100 = 11 : 10
