a school started a campaign against the habit of taking junk food. 10 students were asked to prepare banners in a triangular shape.the sides are 8cm,15cm,17cm.if the cost of the banners is rs3 per 100 sq cm, find the total cost of the banners.

In this question, we will check are these dimensions a Pythagorean triplet.
8^2 + 15^2 = 17^2 i.e. 64+225 = 289 .
Yes , it is .So, the longer side will be Hypotenuse and rest will be height and base.
Now, Area of each banners = 1/2*8*15 = 60 sq.cm
No. of banners = 10.
Total area of banners = 60*10 = 6*100 sq.cm
Now,
Cost of per 100 sq.cm banner is Rs 3.
So, total cost = 6*3 = Rs 18.
