Explanation:

CASE 1

v = 36 km/ h = 10 m/s

t = 10 s

u = 0 [ as it starts from rest ]

a = v- u/t

a = 10 - 0 / 10

a = 0 [ the object is moving in uniform motion]

CASE 2

u = 10 m/s

v = 0 [ as it comes to rest ]

t = 20 s

a = v-u /t

a = 0 - 10/20

a = -1/2

r = 1/2 = 0.5 m/s²
