A scooter is moving at speed of 10 m/s is stopped by applying breajs which produce a uniform acceleration of -0.5m/s² hiw much distance will be covered by scooter before it stops

°Here,

initial speed , U= 10m/s

final speed, V = 0 ( scooter stops)

Acceleration, a = -0.5m/s

And , Distance covered, s= ?

Now,

putting these values in the third equations of motion:-

we get: V^2 = U^2+2as

(0)^2= (10)^2 × (-0.5)×s

0= 100-s

s= 100m

Thus , the distance covered is 100 metres.
