u = 10 m/s (given)
v = 0 ( the scooter stops)
a = -0.5 m/s2
According to 3rd equation of kinematics -
v2 = u2 + 2*a*s.
02 = 102 + 2*-0.5*s.
0 = 100 + (-s).
-100= - s (cancel the negative sign from both sides)
s = 100.
