Answer:

2:3

Step-by-step explanation:

Speed = (distance/time)

Speed of scooter = (120/3)=40 km/h

Sped of train = (120/2)=60 km/h

Ratio = 40:60

4:6

2:3

Question :

A scooter travels 120 km in 3 hours and a train travels 120 km in 2 hours. Find the ratio of their speeds.

Answer :

we know that

speed = distance covered / time taken

for scooter :

distance = 120 km

and time taken = 3 hours

therefore , speed ,V 1 = 120/3 = 40 km/hr

for train :

distance covered = 120 km

time taken = 2 hours

then , speed , V2 = 120/2 = 60 km /hr

then ratio of their speeds.

V 1 /V2 = 40/60

= 4/6 = 2/3

therefore;

V 1 : V 2 = 2:3

I hope it helps you!
