Answer:

Explanation:

Given :

[ For scooter ]

  • Distance travelled = 120 km
  • Time taken = 3 hr

[ For Train ]

  • Distance travelled = 100 km
  • Time taken = 2 hr

To Find :

  • Who travels faster.

Solution :

[ For scooter ]

Speed = Distance/Time

=> Speed = 120/3

=> Speed = 40 km/h

[ For train ]

Speed = Distance/Time

=> Speed = 100/2

=> Speed = 50 km/h

.°. 50 > 40

.°. Speed of train > Speed of scooter

Hence :

Train is faster than scooter.

Given :-

★ About Scooter ★

  • Distance travelled = 120 km
  • Time taken = 3 hours

★ About Train ★

  • Distance travelled = 100 km
  • time taken = 2 hours

To Find :-

  • Who travels Faster

Solution :-

First we will find out the speed of scooter and then of train in order to compare their speeds

\underline{\bf{\dag} \:\mathfrak{As\;we\;know\: that\: :}}

\underlined {\boxed {\sf  Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time}}}

Finding the speed of scooter

\sf \leadsto \dfrac{120}{3} \;\;  km/hr

\sf \leadsto 40 \; km/hr

Finding the speed of train

\sf \leadsto \dfrac{100}{2} \;\; km/hr

\sf \leadsto 50 \; km/hr

Train travels faster as compared to the scooter .
