New time period will be 1.33 sec

Explanation:

We have given second pendulum

Time period of second pendulum T = 2 sec

Value of g=4.36m/sec^2

Time period of pendulum is equal to T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{l}{g}}

2=2\times 3.14\times  \sqrt{\frac{l}{4.36}}

0.3183= \sqrt{\frac{l}{4.36}}

Squaring both side

0.1013={\frac{l}{4.36}}

l=0.441m

Now acceleration due to gravity g=9.8m/sec^2

So time period will be T=2\times 3.14\times \sqrt{\frac{0.441}{9.8}}=1.33sec

New time period will be 1.33 sec
