Girl 18, dies while taking selfie at waterfall

• A girl of 18 years  slipped and fell to her death while taking a selfie photograph at Dassam Waterfall, Ranchi District, Tarub. The Tarub Fire Safety and Protection  District said the girl died at the Dassam Waterfalls overlooking Lake Jarna.  Her identity has not been released.
• Fire district spokesperson Preeti Tyagi said that witnesses reported the young girl was very close to the edge of the waterfall that cascades into the lake from 250 feet. There was no security guard blocking access to the area, she added.
• Crews from the Tarub  Rescue Team rushed to Dassam Falls to recover the body of the girl  woman who was taking photos at the falls, and who lost her balance and slipped down. The crew  further said "This is a sad reminder to be careful in dangerous areas when you take selfies and other pictures. Do not underestimate the waterfall strength, rivers and temperatures of cold water ".
