Price of the car= 36000
Price charged by A on first 20,000

=20,000 - (8% of 20,000)
=20,000 - (0.08x 20,000)
= 20,000 - 1,600
= 18400

similarly, Price charged by A on the remaining 16000
=16,000 - (5% of 16000)
= 16,000 - 800
= 15,200

SO actual price charged from B = 18,400+15,200 = 33,600

8% of 20000 is 1600.

5% of 16000 is 800.

1600 + 800 = 2400 is off.

SP of A = 36000 - 2400

            = 33600

7%of 36000 is 2520.

2520 is off.

SP of B = 36000 - 2520

            = 33480
