Step-by-step explanation:

Initial position of the shark = 762 m below sea level

Position after it rises           = -762+412

                                            = -350 m

Position after it dives          = -350-125 m

                                            = -475 m

Distance from sea level     =  -475 m

Answer: The shark is 475 m below the sea level.

hope it helps you

Answer :–

  • 475m below the sea level.

Given :–

  • A shark is 762m below the sea level.
  • And it rises 412m and dives 125m.

To Find :–

  • How far is it from the sea level ?

Solution :–

Net Depth = Shark is below the sea level + it rises + it dives.

We know that,

✏️ Rises = an increasing in a amount.

Here,

Sea level is increasing of their amount.

We also know that,

Increasing = add ( + )

✏️ Dives = to move quickly and suddenly downwards.

Here,

A shark move downwards.

We also know that,

Decreasing = subtract ( – )

✏️ A shark is below the sea level.

So,

Below = ( – )

So,

→ –762 + 412 – 125

→ –887 + 412

→ –475

Hence,

It is 475m far from below the sea level.
