Step-by-step explanation:

a) Volume of cylinder=

\pi \:  {r }^{2} h

Circumference of bottom circle = 14cm

Radius = 2 pi r = 14cm

= 2 x 22 x r = 14

7

= 44r = 14 x 7

= r = 98 = 49

44 22

Volume of cylinder=

= 22 x 49^2 x 44

7 22^2

= 22 x 2401 x 44

7 484

=22 x 343

11

= 11 x 343

= 3773cm^3

b) Circumference of bottom circle = 44cm

Radius = 2 pi r = 44 cm

= 2 x 22 x r = 44 cm

7

= 44r = 44 x 7

= r = 7

Volume of cylinder=

= 22 x 7^2 x 14

7

= 22 x 49 x 14

7

= 22 x 49 x 2

= 2156cm^3
