A ship on the surface of water sends a signal and receives it back after 4 secs from a submarine inside the water. Calculate the distance of submarine from the ship. (Speed of sound in water = 1450 m/s)

1450×4=5800m

5.8km or may be 2.8km also

Answer:

V=1450m/s

t=4 s

2S=V×t

=>S=V×t/2

= 1450×4/2

= 5800/2

= 2900m

=2.9 km
