A ship sends out ultrasound, produced by transmitter that returns from the sea-bed and detected after 3 sec. If the speed

of ultrasound through sea water is 1530 m/s., find the distance of the sea-bed from the ship.

SINCE IT IS SENT AND RECEIVED BACK IN 3 SEC , IT COVERS DOUBLE THE DISTANCE FROM SEABED .

HENCE,WE NEED TO FIND 2d.

2d = speed * time

  =1530*3= 4590

therefore ,

d = 4590/ 2 =2295 m
