A ship sends out ultrasound produced by transmitter that return from the sea bed & detected after 3.42sec . What is the distance for the sea bed from ship, if the speed of ultrasound waves through sea water is 1530sec.?

Time for the ultrasonic sound to hit the sound bed and return back is 3.42sec.
so the time taken to reach the sea bed is 3.42/2
t1=1.71sec.
so the distance covered d=v*t
d=1531*1.71
d=2618.01m
